How Does Calpol Work?
Calpol is a liquid paracetamol suspension which works by blocking chemical messengers in the brain that signal pain. It also helps to cool the body and reduce fever.
Who Should Use Calpol Original Infant Suspension?
Calpol is suitable for young children aged 2 months to 6 years who need relief from pain or fever. It is particularly useful for parents looking for a reliable and easy-to-administer solution for their child’s discomfort.

Shake the bottle well. Use the syringe provided to draw up the correct dose according to your child’s age or weight. Administer the medicine by placing the syringe inside the cheek and gently squirting it. Doses may be given up to four times a day with a minimum interval of 4 hours between each dose. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Not suitable for children under 2 months or weighing less than 4kg. Avoid if allergic to any ingredients or if the child is taking other products containing paracetamol. Consult your healthcare provider before use if your child is taking other medications or has underlying health conditions. Possible side effects include allergic reactions, fatigue, or skin reactions.

Paracetamol 120 mg per 5 ml, sucrose, sorbitol liquid (E420), glycerol, polysorbate 80, asulfame potassium, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), ethyl parahydroxybenzoate (E214), dispersible cellulose, xanthan gum and purified water. The flavouring is strawberry and colouring is carmoisine (E122).
