What are Optrex Hayfever Eye Drops? Optrex Hayfever Eye Drops are specifically formulated to combat the eye-related symptoms of hayfever, such as redness, excessive tearing, and itchiness. Perfect for those who dread pollen season due to the discomfort it causes, these eye drops offer relief by directly addressing the root cause of irritation, allowing you to enjoy your days without the annoyance of hayfever eye symptoms. Why do my eyes get itchy and watery during hayfever season? Hayfever is your body’s reaction to pollen, which is more prevalent during spring and summer. Exposure to pollen triggers your body to produce histamine, leading to various allergic reactions, including watery and itchy eyes, nasal congestion, sneezing, and an itchy rash. How will Optrex Hayfever Eye Drops alleviate my symptoms? Containing sodium cromoglicate, an anti-allergy agent, Optrex Hayfever Eye Drops prevent histamine release in the eyes, thus warding off hayfever symptoms such as itchiness, watering, redness, and swelling. By targeting the cause of these symptoms, the drops offer effective and lasting relief. Can I use these eye drops with contact lenses? Optrex Hayfever Eye Drops should not be used with soft contact lenses due to an ingredient called benzalkonium chloride, which can discolour these lenses. If you wear other types of lenses, consult your healthcare provider before use. Always remove lenses before application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinsertion. Can I drive after using Optrex Hayfever Eye Drops? These eye drops may cause temporary blurred vision. If this occurs, wait until your vision clears before operating machinery or driving.
