Recommended dosage
The advised dosage for Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets is one tablet three times daily. However, if necessary, the dosage can be increased to a maximum of two tablets four times daily, not exceeding eight tablets within 24 hours. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water.
Is it safe to use Buscopan during pregnancy?

Quinidine or disopyramide for heartbeat regulation
Amantadine for Parkinson’s disease or influenza

When should you avoid taking Buscopan?
Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets are not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Do not use this product if you:
Are allergic to hyoscine butylbromide or any other ingredients in the product

Potential side effects
While not everyone experiences side effects, Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets can cause:
Skin reactions like urticaria or pruritis
Increased heart rate (tachycardia)
Urinary retention
Severe allergic reactions with symptoms like breathing difficulties, unconsciousness, facial swelling, or widespread itchy rash
Dyspnoea or laboured breathing
Glaucoma symptoms like painful red eyes and vision loss
A possible risk of Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets is blurred vision. If you experience this, avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision clears and you’re confident about your safety.
Other possible side effects include dry mouth, dyshidrosis, and skin reactions. If you encounter any side effects, discontinue use and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage guidelines
Store Buscopan IBS Relief Tablets in a cool, dry place below 25 degrees C. Do not use beyond the expiry date indicated on the packaging. Ensure the product is kept out of children’s sight and reach.
